Old good Genesis 4.8.5 install

Did you Genesis update and you loose the download function?
Did you live on the Uk and most of things in genesis won't auto play because "no stream available"? And you can't get the sources to apear?
All that is long gone for me.. Still using Genesis 5.0.0 but with the good old Genesis 4.8.5 as a work around.
Install this, (also available through amoboxwizard.site88.net for easy install) and enjoy all the good things on Genesis.

Genesis 5 Released!

Popular Kodi add-on Genesis has received a huge update this morning to Kodi Genesis 5.0! The Genesis update brings in a whole rework of the add-on to please fans and add more reliability!

After going a full month without an update, here’s a big one for Kodi fans and users this morning.
Lambda has released his new Kodi Genesis 5 update and it brings a list of changes too big for 140 characters or less on Twitter!
TVADDONS administrator, s7eele, who helps lambda with advertising, media, and testing, let the info go on his Twitter account just now in this post.
The message reads:
GENESIS 5 IS NOW! It will be available in the next hour or two barring any problems, visit us http://forums.tvaddons.ag/register.php?referrerid=3871 …
The link posted above is to the TVADDONS forums, where lambda provides official support for the Genesis add-on. Make sure you go and register there.
Kodi Genesis 5.0.0 (28-Aug-15) Change Log
  • Complete addon re-work
  • Updated sources and resolvers
  • Code cosmetics
Way too many changes to list individual, for details you will want to visit our forum but this represents a complete re-code off the add-on and a LOT of work on lambda’s part. It adds many new sections (Favourite Episodes, Network Listings, etc) & changes the behaviour of others (Latest Movies, Latest Episodes) so take some time to explore & get familiar with it. It also takes advantage of new section on Trakt so be sure to look those over too. Have fun, I know I will.
As the Kodi Genesis 5 update begins rolling out to users, let us know on our Facebook page what you think of it! We will be re-posting all of the best comments all day long!
NOTE: The downloads feature has been removed in Genesis 5. Lambda, the creator, has said that the feature is buggy and hard to work with and will only bring it back if efficiencies can be made.
If you do not have Genesis yet for Kodi, click here for zip file.
That’s it! Go and enjoy the new Kodi Genesis 5 update.
Note: UK internet service providers have blocked some of the website hosts used by Genesis. If you find that you are from the UK and aren’t seeing many choices for a particular show or movie, you can buy a VPN account to hide your internet traffic and make it look like you are from a different country. IPVanish is one of the best VPN clients because it is tier 1 (no speed slowdown) and log-free so that you are protected. The cost is about the same as a Starbucks coffee per month.

How to Sideload apps onto the Fire TV with just a USB Drive — ADB & PC Utility Unnecessary

The addition of the free file browser, Total Commander, to the official Fire TV appstore now makes it possible to sideload apps like Kodi onto the Fire TV without the need to use ADB and a PC. As long as you can load a USB drive with an APK file, you can sideload it onto the Fire TV without any outside connection or utility. Here’s how to do it.

Written Guide

  1. Transfer the APK you want to sideload onto a USB drive. The USB drive must be using the FAT32 file system. If you are installing Kodi, download the Android ARM version from here.
  2. Plug the USB drive into the USB port on the back of the Fire TV.

  3. Wait for the Fire TV to mount the drive.
  4. If you haven’t done so before, enable “Apps from Unknown Sources” on your Fire TV by following this guide.

  5. Install Total Commander for free from the Amazon Appstore. You can either search for it using the Fire TV’s search, or select to send it to your Fire TV using Amazon’s website.

How to enable Apps from Unknown Sources on an Amazon Fire TV or Fire TV Stick

amazon-underground-app-header
Turning on Apps from Unknown Sources on an Amazon Fire TV or Fire TV Stick allows you to sideload apps onto the device from within another app, like a file browser. Enabling the Apps from Unknown Sources option is not required when sideloading apps via ADB or a PC utility. It is only necessary to enable this option if you want apps, which are already installed on your Fire TV or Fire TV Stick, to have the ability to install additional apps.
  1. From the Fire TV or Fire TV Stick’s home screen, scroll down to “Settings”.
    screenshot-settings
  2. Next, scroll to the right and select “System”.
    screenshot-system
  3. Next, scroll down and select “Developer Options”.

  4. Then select “Apps from Unknown Sources” to turn the option to “ON”.

  5. Lastly, select “OK” on the popup message which appears.

cCloud is Down – Pastebin login info changed

cCloud is down and has been hacked in the form of a user who changed the account login information on the public pastebin file. This cCloud hack has caused a stop of any stream updating until a better solution is found!

cCloud is down today after a user changed the public login information to the pastebin containing all of the live TV streams. cCloud used to be a public service relying on users to update a pastebin file with the latest IPTV streams in order to stay active and alive. Now, the pastebin has been taken offline and the streams list can no longer be updated.
The cCloud service is still working fine and all working live channels will remain that way. However, IPTV streams often go down over time and new servers have to be setup with the streams. This is where users upload the pastebin file with new information.
The cCloud stream list will not be updated until version 0.3 is released in the next few days and the cCloud administrator has said that he will pursue different ways of allowing users to update the stream list.
Read the official article from Bane, one of the cCloud administrators below:
Update!
Just an FYI. Some users asked If we were hacked.
No we are not hacked since the account login information was public so anyone could have changed anything but i just have hard time believing that someone will do suck thing but of f the awesome thing they forgot is cCloud doesn’t depend on a server. Backup is running everyday manually and automatically so for me having it change to different pastebin account will take probably less then 5 mins but i will be adding some restrictions and work on new guide on updating which will take more then 1 hour or so and making sure the new process won’t have same issue as pastebin.
Sad sad news!
Someone out there doesn’t seem like what we have to offer:(
Multiples users have reported today that they couldn’t login to pastebin account and when i tried to recover the account that person changed the recovery email as well. I was planning to stay with pastebin since all of the IPTV users are familiar with the platform but now this situation happened,I’m being forced to use alternative method instead. Another sad news is that i won’t be able to make any changes to the server for couple of days due to my busy work schedule as you all know i work two jobs along with it working on cCloud whenever i get free time. I can’t stay up all nights anymore due to my health condition since i didn’t sleep for two months when cCloud got viral so now i’m taking it slow and i hope the streams will be stable until v0.3 of Gotham Upload releases in couple days until then just wait for it…

Kodi Updates: cCloud, Channel Pear, SALTs, Trakt, IsraelLive

A ton of Kodi updates for some popular add-ons were pushed over the past day or so in order to improve the Kodi experience for users. cCloud, Channel Pearl, Stream All The Sources, Trakt, and IsraelLive all received Kodi updates.

New IPTV Stalker alternative cCloud, Channel Pear, SALTs, IsraelLive TV, and Trakt all received new Kodi updates over the past day to fix bugs and add new features. cCloud and Channel Pear’s updates to repair some channels that wouldn’t load are a good thing, since IPTV channels often get criticized for bad reliability. Stream All The Sources has new scraper sites to watch content from, which is great for people who have been having Genesis problems over the past few week.

Here’s a big one! After we featured cCloud this morning as a potential IPTV Stalker alternative, iVue Guide has been updated this afternoon to include guide integration support with cCloud! • From the Kodi main menu, navigate to Add-ons > Programs
  • Hover on the iVue TV Guide program, press the context button, and go into “Add-on Settings”
  • Go over to the far right “Guide Fixes” tab
  • Click “Yes, Delete Addons.ini file”

-------- Update 19/08/2015

cCloud is an IPTV Stalker alternative that has been around for a while, but is gaining traction in the Kodi community with the release of the add-on in the PodGod repo. cCloud is essentially a team dedicated to making sure that IPTV stream links are kept live and up to date. The team organizes m3u streams and playlists from around the web and updates the address within the cCloud interface. The new Kodi add-on brings those features over to our favorite media platform.
So is cCloud the IPTV Stalker alternative we’ve been waiting for? Here are the features and details of the service:
  • 500+ live channels – Channels 1-25 and 63-75 should have a 24/7 runtime. Channels 26-49 have random uptimes and are not guaranteed.
  • Channels include live TV, movies, TV shows, premium radio, and news channels.
  • If you are looking to get an idea of what channels are available, here is a Pastebin link that may be outdated slightly but should give you an idea of what is availabole. Click here.
  • The official website of cCloud is http://ccloud.corrent.org.
  • The next update for cCloud will see it teaming up with joker.org, which is a service that allows you to stream any torrent file!
  • cCloud has survived DMCA notices and has been deemed legal thanks to its Disclaimer notice for copyright owners. cCloud does not host any of its streams. cCloud is a simple cloud based media player used to sync stream links which can be found anywhere on the web.
The #1 thing that will make cCloud a true IPTV Stalker alternative is consistency and reliability, which remains to be seen over a long period of time. As well, there is no direct EG guide integration to cCloud, which is one of the things that made IPTV Stalker so popular.
If you are interested in trying out cCloud, you can get it from the PodGod repo! Follow these instructions:
  • Download the Podgod Repo and save to a location you can easily access from your Kodi device
  • Open Kodi and navigate to SYSTEM > Add-Ons > Install from zip file
  • Navigate to where you downloaded the zip in the first step and select repository.podgod-1.3.zip
  • Wait for Add-On enabled notification
  • Select Install from Repository > podgod repo > Video Add-Ons > cCloud > Install
  • Wait for Add-on enabled notification
That’s it! You now have cCloud.
How is cCloud working for you? Let us know on Facebook if you feel that this is truly an IPTV Stalker alternative!
